Playstation 3 Slim Free with Selected Mobile Phones
The Playstation 3 Slim is the latest console from the big brand Playstation and is exactly what it says on the tin. It is a slimmed down version of the original Playstation 3. The Playstation 3 Slim also comes with a slimmed down price tag of £249. The introduction of the Playstation 3 Slim of course means that the price of the original Playstation 3 will go down.
So what makes the Playstation 3 Slim so different from the Playstation 3? Well for a start its dimensions are smaller, meaning that the whole console is slimmer, sleeker and more streamlined. The Playstation 3 Slim takes from the Playstation 3 the curved edge look but its outer casing is made from a more textured, rougher surface as opposed to the smooth faced style of the Playstation 3. The controllers are connected to the Playstation 3 Slim in the same way that they are in the Playstation 3 and this is by wireless Bluetooth technology. It is not known yet whether or not the Playstation 3 controllers will work with the new Playstation 3 Slim as it is a relatively new console.
Now I’ll have a look at some of the more technical aspects of the Playstation 3 Slim. Although it is slimmed down, the Playstation 3 Slim has more memory than the Playstation 3. The original Playstation 3 had an 80GB hard drive and the Playstation 3 Slim has a hard drive sized 120GB, that’s 40GB more than the original Playstation 3. This means more space for all those vital saved games. The extra memory capacity means that the Playstation 3 Slim can be used more than ever as a storage device for movies, pictures, video and mp3 files. With the extra memory on the Playstation 3 content from the Playstation 3 website can also be downloaded and stored on the PS3 Slim.
Just like the original Playstation 3, the Playstation 3 Slim is Wi-Fi enabled which means online gaming through your television screen. The Wi-Fi feature means that you can connect to other gamers across the world with just a touch of a button.
The Playstation 3 Slim is a relatively new console on the market but already its reputation for gaming is well established. It is rumoured to have a much wider range of games than the Playstation 3 although Playstation 3 original games are still the right format to the played on the Playstation 3 Slim.
